A Ten Acre Site in Central Leeds with planning consent for 598,000 sq ft offices in four buildings, plus 650 residential units. Latitude Red, the first building, was forward sold to IVG in 2007, and completed in 2008.

The client, BAM Construction’s aim was to create a sustainable building, minimising its environmental impact. Achieving the maximum BREEAM rating was a key consideration for the client along with attaining an Energy Performance Certificate.

After the project was completed, the Latitude development achieved an ‘Excellent’ BREEAM rating. It also received a Grade B Energy Performance Certificate and has become one of the City’s most environmentally friendly commercial locations.

PMJ Masonry installed Natural Sandstone and Granite to create the external landscape walls, steps, seating, raised garden beds and external services.

As the build was adjacent to the river, extensive movement of the bank was undertaken and reformed to create not only a visual delight but also a tranquil area for the occupiers of the building to sit and listen to the running water.
