Latitude Red is the first building on a ten acre site in central Leeds, that was sold to IVG. Construction of Latitude Red was completed one year later.

BAM Construction (the main contractor) aimed to create a sustainable building, minimising its environmental impact. Achieving the maximum BREEAM rating was a key consideration along with attaining an Energy Performance Certificate.

After the project was completed, the Latitude development achieved an ‘Excellent’ BREEAM rating. It also received a Grade B Energy Performance Certificate and has become one of the City’s most environmentally friendly commercial locations.

PMJ Masonry installed Fletcher Bank Sandstone and Granite to create the external landscape walls, steps, seating, raised garden beds and external services. The products used by PMJ Masonry are listed below:

  • Fletcher Bank Sandstone – Ashlar Cladding
  • Natural Stone Cromwell Diamond Sawn Paving
  • Granite Setts
  • Granite Planters
  • Sandstone Copings
  • Pitch-Faced Walling – Sandstone

As the build was adjacent to the river, extensive movement of the bank was undertaken and reformed to create not only a visual delight but also a tranquil area for the occupiers of the building to sit and listen to the running water.
