At PMJ, sport has always been close to the roots of its Directors and Staff. From playing sport at a professional level, Patrick playing with odd shaped balls for Leeds, to others who play for a hobby, Adrian hacking his way around the golf course every week!, we are always of the opinion that sport at grass roots level never has enough investment. Every year we support grass roots sports by investing in our budding future sports stars!
Sponsor of Heworth Rugby League Club
PMJ Masonry are delighted to announce that we are once again sponsoring Heworth Rugby League Club for 2018. PMJ Masonry will be helping all teams within the club but especially looking after the junior teams to make sure they have all the equipment that they need to have a successful season.
The Heworth Amateur Rugby League Club was formed in 1922 following the Yorkshire Cup Final between York and Bramley. Today, the club puts its emphasis into bringing through young talent to the professional rugby league game. This is clearly seen through the large junior rugby club that Heworth has. The age ranges from 7 to 15 years old and with over 180 juniors involved, the standard of rugby is of the highest order.
Heworth now have 2 Open Age Teams which both play in the Yorkshire Mens League. To keep Heworth’s undeniable status as one of the top amateur clubs, a development programme on all fronts has been implemented. This programme includes the extension of the original clubhouse to showcase the awards won by the club and to provide a warm and friendly atmosphere for all matchday visitors.
